FlipSide Graphics began in the late '80s when 14-year-old Flip Merwin started hand-lettering race cars. The business expanded into vinyl graphics, embroidery, and screen printing. Today, we continue to provide the high-quality products on which our business was built. Based in Wausau, WI, we specialize in creating impactful graphic solutions for businesses locally and beyond. Our team is dedicated to crafting creative designs and apparel that make your business stand out.

After acquiring FlipSide Graphics in 2003, Russ modernized the equipment and focused on elevating the business to an industry-leading position. He now holds several industry certifications and has conducted training sessions across the United States, Canada, and Mexico.
As a featured artist at SGIA, he designed and installed a wrap for 3M, with his work also appearing in publications such as Signs of the Times and Wide Format magazine.
Russ is a founding member and current board member of the Masters of Branding, a prestigious global organization of top graphic installers dedicated to high-quality installations worldwide. His team has executed installations for the Super Bowl, DC United, and the X-Games and has been showcased as featured installers at numerous industry-leading trade shows.

Flip started a hand-lettering business when he was 14 years old focused on race cars.
An avid racer himself, Flip created relationships on and off the local tracks and continued to grow his business.
Tragically, he lost his life doing what he loved, racing at the 2003 World Championship Snowmobile Derby in Eagle River. While his life was cut short, his legacy lives on through FlipSide.
